Christy P. Gaskell, BSN, RN, CPN, CCRN is currently the Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children's National Hospital. Christy holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Maryland Baltimore. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse and a Certified Critical Care Nurse. Christy has been at Children's National since 2006. During her career at Children's, she has worked in the PICU as a bedside nurse, shift coordinator and in her current role as a Nurse Manager. Christy has received several awards during her time at Children's-of note in 2016 she was awarded the Patriotic Employer Award from The Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. This award is given to employers who contribute to National Security and Protect Liberty and Freedom by supporting Employee participation in America's National Guard and Reserve Force. Outside of the hospital Christy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and watching her children play sports. She has a son in college and a daughter going into second grade.
