Starting on Monday 8/12/13- We are piloting a new way of handling walk-in and same day late patients.

There will be two resource screens- "CHC Same Day" AND "CHC Sick".  Patients who have walked in for illness visits will be on "CHC Sick" while walk-ins for immunizations, same day late WCC and follow ups will be on "CHC Same Day".  Residents assigned to "Acute Care" or "Walk-in" should preferentially pick up "CHC sick" patients though as always we will work as a team with all providers helping out.  We hope this provides a more robust "Acute Care" educational experience and results in less wait time for our patients with acute illness.

Same Day late patients will be placed on the "CHC Same Day" schedule by the front office staff.  If they were on your schedule, you will receive an alpha page notifying you.  If you are able to still see them, you may place them back on your schedule, otherwise they will remain as a "CHC Same Day" to be picked up by any provider with availability.

The nursing staffing for the "Cheetah Pod" is being increased to help with ensuring timely vital signs and care.  This is a pilot so please feel free to give feedback to Cara Biddle.
